Greetings & Salutations!

Wayne is a polymath who was born at a very early age and, quite impressively, has not died yet-something he considers to be a notable achievement.

He joined Freemasonry in 2006, the Holy Royal Arch in 2007, the S.R.I.A. in 2012, and the Ancient & Accepted Rite in 2013. In 2011, Wayne became the Master of Llannerch Lodge and has spent twelve of the following thirteen years in one chair or another. His commitment to Masonry is extensive. He was a founding member of the Widows Sons North Wales chapter, served as the Provincial Webmaster for five years, the Assistant Provincial Mentor for five years, and was part of the Membership Pathways Team also for five years. Additionally, Wayne was an active member of the North Wales Association of Masonic Study for eight years,  as both a Speaker and committee member, he has also been giving talks across several provinces since 2017.

Wayne is also a fervent supporter of the Blood Bikes Wales charity, dedicating his time and effort to this vital cause, raising over £50,000 from talks and presentations.

Put simply Wayne is A Blood Biker, A CodeNinja, A Gamer, A Hacker, A Blogger, A Writer & Poet, A Speaker, A Freemason, A Rosicrucian, A Reader, A Spod, A Son, An Uncle, A Brother, A Man, AN INDIVIDUAL!

Happy Friday the 13th, my brave and foolish friends.

As tradition demands, it’s time for the annual reminder of the official survival rules, because nothing says “I value my life” like refusing to behave like a horror‑movie extra. So, for those wishing to make it safely to Saturday the 14th, please observe the...

My Livejournal is Legally Allowed to Drink in the States

I received an email today informing me that my LiveJournal account, yes, that ancient digital relic, has officially turned 21. Twenty-one. As in, legally allowed to drink in every jurisdiction that still pretends LiveJournal is a thing. I had genuinely forgotten I...

Happy 20th Masonic Anniversary

Today marks my 20th anniversary of joining Freemasonry. On the 2nd of February 2006, I arrived at the Masonic Hall in Ruabon at 6pm, suited up and not entirely sure what I was walking into. That evening I was initiated into Llannerch Lodge in the Province of North...

WAR HAS BEEN DECLARED

Ladies, gentlemen, and those still scraping ice off their cars… it is with great reluctance, and absolutely no surprise, that I must announce that Punxsutawney Phil has betrayed us once again. Yes. On this sacred Groundhog Day, the furry little meteorological menace...

In Scotland its Burns Night, In Wales Carpet Burns Night

To the Welsh among us: “Happy Santes Dwynwen Day!”May your love be as enduring as a slate roof in a storm and your pronunciation confuse at least three Englishmen before lunchtime. To the Scots: “Happy Rabbie Burns Day/Night!”May your haggis be hearty, your whisky be...

We are doomed as a species

Earlier today I was hurtling along a bypass on an emergency mission to acquire coffee — the kind of crisis that demands swift, decisive action. There I was on a dual carriageway, approaching the section where the road very helpfully provides an entire forest of signs...

I am Hysterical, err I mean Historical!

I’ve been haunting the digital wilds since about ’94, back when the web crackled, hummed, and occasionally threatened to set your modem on fire just for looking at it funny. A personal website here, a blog there, sometimes both held together with duct tape, HTML...
Moving to the Backbenches

Moving to the Backbenches

This evening was the Installation meeting of the Maesgwyn Lodge of Installed Masters, and my last night as the Secretary. It will be the last time I sit in the North with all the notes and information needed for the night to go smoothly. It does mean I have less say...

Three Meetings, Three Orders, Three Days

Three Meetings, Three Orders, Three Days

Over the last three days (M-T-W) I have been out at three different meetings, and oddly of three different orders. If you add this to the two installation meetings, of two orders, over two days (F-S) that I just had, it makes me query my belief that this year will be...

SRIA Certificates and Ceremonies

This evening was the meeting of Bishop Wilkins College. I am the Secretary (and Director of Studies)  of Bishop Wilkins, and due to the Celebrant not being able to make the meeting I also stood in for him.  This did lead to some comedy gold where I (wearing Celebrants...

Are we a third world country?

Are we a third world country?

The heating in my place is via storage heaters. So they heat up over night on cheap electricity and then discharge the heat over the day. To do this they are all wired into a separate fuse board that only becomes live when the meter switches to over night mode. For...

Coronatio Quadrans – Talks, Papers, and Heat!

Today has been a day all about Coronatio Quadrans. This was a pure coincidence, and not planned. Whilst talking to an old friend this morning, I was reminded that I owed CQ an article for their next publication and that I had not sent one in. This led to me re-writing...
