Today was the Annual meeting of the Province of North Wales for Craft & Chapter. For the first time since 2018 I did not have to be there for 8am for the morning rehearsals. This gave me two great things, one I did not have to get up at silly...
The Masonic year tends to run from September until June, with July and August being our summer break. There are of course exceptions to every rule, and we do have the occasional summer meeting, but the majority runs September-June. This coming year looks like it could be a busy year for me.
I have therefore decided to blog a record of all my meetings this year, to give people an idea of what a busy Masonic year is like. I should point out that, this will be as I have already stated a busy year for me, and the average commitment to Freemasonry is a lot less than what I will be recording. I just imagined it may be of interest to some people. There are a lot of Freemasons who without visiting just have around eight meetings, and eight rehearsals a year.
So come along with me on a journey.
TYoaBM[2] – The Committee of Madness
This evening we had a committee meeting for Wrexhamian Lodge. This committee meeting was to decide the people that we elected last Friday (I know it makes no sense). And to sort out the Officer list for the upcoming year. The first hour was taken...
TYoaBM[2] – The First Wrexhamian Lodge meeting of the year
At 9am this morning I wandered off to the Maesgwyn Masonic Hall for another Wrexhamian Chapter Rehearsals. This time it was only for Principles and Past Principles, so that we could rehearse all the inner workings. Since it was a Saturday morning,...
TYoaBM[2] – The First Wrexhamian Lodge meeting of the year
This evening was the first meeting of Wrexhamian Lodge for the season. We had a Third Degree ceremony, and due to the SW recovering from an operation, I dusted off my memory and stood in the chair for the evening. The ceremony went well, the only...
TYoaBM[2] – The First None Rosicrucian Meeting
This evening was the Installation meeting of the Maesgwyn Lodge of Installed Masters. I was the Secretary so it was a busy evening. I was also standing in for the Treasurer in relation to collecting sub's & money. And I did one of the working...
TYoaBM[2] – The One-Man Show
This evening was the rehearsals of Wrexhamian Lodge. We were doing a third, but due to a clash with the KT's there were not many people down, and most of the officers who are doing the job on the night were absent. I sat in the SW's chair, and all...
TYoaBM[2] – Schrödinger’s Chair
This evening was my first double event of the year. Wrexhamian Chapter had a committee meeting this year to sort out the officers for next year due to illness. The person due to go into J's chair is currently very ill so we needed to make plans for...
TYoaBM[2] – First none Rosicrucian event
This evening was the Bishop Wilkins College SRIA meeting. So we are back on the Rosicrucian train. We were very short on numbers down, due to a clash with Coronation Lodge which shares some of our members, and most of our normal visitors. Plus...
TYoaBM[2] – First none Rosicrucian event
Finally something that was not Rosicrucian based. I swear I am in other things. This evening was the rehearsals for the Maesgwyn Lodge of Installed Masters Installation. We were very short on numbers down, I think because the Lodge is made up fully...
TYoaBM[2] – More Rosicrucian Meetings
This evening I attended Valle Crucis Rose Croix. I spent the evening juggling hats. I started off as my Joint role of Immediate Past Sovereign and Assistant DC. (Hat count: 2) Unfortunately just before the meeting started we heard the Marshal was...
