TYoaBM[2] – Visit to Shrewsbury

This morning I got up early, and headed down south into England to visit Charles Darwin College in Shrewsbury.

I arrived at the Masonic Hall in Shrewsbury to find the carpark closed off so we had to park in the treelined area to the side of the building amongst the gravestones. I found out that a new Lodge was to be consecrated in the afternoon and they did not want us to get blocked in once all the cars started to turn up. We finished in plenty of time so the panic was not needed, the early attenders were just arriving as we left.

I had not visited Charles Darwin for a while, so it was good to catch up with everyone. the ceremony’s were excellent, although the first was sad since it was making the death of a member. The meeting ended on a very interesting talk on a subject that could easily be linked to some of the discussions CQ have been looking into.

The festive board was a fantastic buffet and drinks, while chatting to friends.

And the trip back was with lovely sunny weather, and the radio blasting away. I feel my Masonic batteries fully recharged.
