TYoaBM[2] – The First None Rosicrucian Meeting

This evening was the Installation meeting of the Maesgwyn Lodge of Installed Masters.

I was the Secretary so it was a busy evening. I was also standing in for the Treasurer in relation to collecting sub’s & money. And I did one of the working tools just because we were missing one volunteer.

It was a very enjoyable night. Installed Masters Lodges are very fun places. Because everyone is a Past Master of different Lodges we have more fun during the ceremonies, and are much easier on the ritual since we have all been there and done that. It is so laid back you can not help but to have a great time.

Now I just have to sort the Returns, and start looking for what talks/events we will have next year.

Freemasonry (Craft)

One of the oldest social and charitable organisations in the world, Freemasonry's roots lie in the traditions of the medieval stonemasons who built our cathedrals and castles.

It is here that a number of the famous elements of Freemasonry find their roots. In the medieval era, stonemasons often travelled around to find work in different locations. To demonstrate their level of qualification, they would use grips, words and signs in order to distinguish themselves from unqualified builders.

Freemasonry uses building analogies to teach members how to lead productive lives that benefit the communities that they live in. In the medieval era, stonemasons wore aprons and gloves to protect themselves while working on shaping rough pieces of stone, but in today’s society Freemasons meet to build friendships and communities rather than cathedrals and castles.
