This evening was the Installation meeting of Bishop Wilkins College.
Unfortunately due to a major clash of events, our Celebrant was unable to make the meeting. This is not that big a deal in the SRIA since the outgoing Celebrant does not install his successor. We were very lucky, and the Chief Adept of the Province stepped in to take the chair for the evening. (And it was a busy evening)
We did the normal College Business, and balloted for a joining member. Before we had the unpleasant task of performing the Requiem for a Frater, since our Celebrant Elect has passed away recently. This was the first time we had done this ceremony at Bishop Wilkins. In fact I had only ever seen it for the first time in November. Even so it went well, and had more meaning since it was on the night our departed Frater would have been going into the chair.
Afterwards we did a Practicus grade, before the Provincial Suffragan installed the Chief Adept into the Celebrants chair for the ensuring year.
The evening ended with a festive board full of conversation. It also marks my first Christmas Meal of the season. (Looking at my calendar, I should not get too many this year)
