TYoaBM – The Worst kind of Rehearsals.

This evening was the rehearsal meeting of Wrexhamian Lodge.

We were (According to the schedule) doing a first for a new candidate, but apparently he is unable to join this month so we are doing a second. This was decided, along with a load of other things at the committee meeting the secretary only invited some people to because (and I quote) “I am too busy and have important things to do, I can not be expected to let people know. If you are not on WhatsApp then you should ask people what is going on!” I really believe WhatsApp will cause the closure of many Lodges and Chapters, I saw it split the North Wales Widows Sons.

So we are doing a second. Well we are letting our Entered Apprentice answer the questions, and then we are kicking him out and using another member to act as a demo candidate. The reason for this is they want an extra rehearsal before doing the real second next month. The only thing is, next month we are (again it was decided at the secret committee meeting) a Past Masters night, so the people doing the practice second this month will not be the people doing the live second next month. And we are doing the tracing board this month while the candidate is kicked out, and not doing it next month when he could see it.

I can only assume the secret committee meeting involved drugs, or a lot of alcohol since nothing decided makes any sense whatsoever.

Freemasonry (Craft)

One of the oldest social and charitable organisations in the world, Freemasonry's roots lie in the traditions of the medieval stonemasons who built our cathedrals and castles.

It is here that a number of the famous elements of Freemasonry find their roots. In the medieval era, stonemasons often travelled around to find work in different locations. To demonstrate their level of qualification, they would use grips, words and signs in order to distinguish themselves from unqualified builders.

Freemasonry uses building analogies to teach members how to lead productive lives that benefit the communities that they live in. In the medieval era, stonemasons wore aprons and gloves to protect themselves while working on shaping rough pieces of stone, but in today’s society Freemasons meet to build friendships and communities rather than cathedrals and castles.
