Sitting in the Celebrant’s Chair

This evening I was Installed into the Celebrant’s Chair.

I am now the Celebrant of Bishop Wilkins College No 58.

This evening I was installed into the chair of my SRIA College. It is an interesting order, the Chief Adept (The head of the Province) is the person who installs the new Celebrant into the chair.

It was a very, very, very, very enjoyable night. the ceremony was different to the Installations I went through in Craft and Chapter. We started the evening with a Zelator ceremony where we admitted a new member to the college, then I was installed into the chair.

After the ceremony it is customary for the new Celebrant to present a paper. I gave one titled “Contemplating Negative Existence“.

Well I have now been in the chair of three of the four orders I am in, and I go into the fourth next year.
