LiveJournal Interview – Penthisilea

There is a trend on LiveJournal where your friends get to interview you by asking FIVE questions.

The idea is, so they can find out more about you, or get the answers to questions that have always wandered about. You then had to respond by asking five questions back.

Interview by Penthisilea.

1) Who do you consider the greatest inspiration to you in your life. Who do you aspire to be like and why?
I suppose my tiad. He never let anything get him down, always had several scams running at any one time, could talk anyone into anything, and had the great philosophy of the good night out.

He believed you had not had a good night out unless you came home drunk, after a brilliant time, and with more money then you left the house with. He got to travel the world and met loads of famous people, which is not bad for a miner, I also remember him chatting up a young blonde lass when he was in his early seventies… So I guess I would like to be like him.

2) Who would you say is your best friend, and why them?
That title belongs to Jarvis, for being my oldest friend, in the sense of knowing him the longest, and the fact we went through school together, worked our way up the ranks in cadets together, started drinking at the same time, hell his sister was the first person to kick me out a pub for underage drinking (ok with hindsight, drinking in the pub where my best mates sister was the barmaid probably not my brightest idea). We would have joined the army together as well, apart from my love of lie ins, and a problem with authority… But we still get to have major piss-ups whenever he’s home on leave.

3) What would you consider the most romantic moment in your life? And who was it with? and why was it so romantic?
Most romantic moment in my life?
Good question, I’ve been racking my brain, and even using the memory booster that is vodka. And I am struggling to answer this one, But I have decided for someone who is a romantic at heart, I have not really had much romantic moments, which is a very odd thing, ok, several of my relationships have been purely physical based, and most I just drifted into. I am a paradox, the soul of a romantic, but never do anything romantic! But this is not answering the question.

Ok. Best I can do.. lazy morning spent in bed making love, then off out for a pub dinner, then a stroll hand in hand round a park, enjoying the sun. Then lying entwined against an old oak tree, watching fluffy ducks swimming on a lake while feeding ice cream to each other and just enjoying getting to know each other, till the sun set, not bad for a second date.. Ok now I re-read that it doesn’t sound that typically romantic, but it’s the best I could come up with, as I say paradox.. person would be Sian.

I cant believe that’s the best I could come up with, but I can’t even remember actually having a date with some, like Gill, Kate, Claire, hell the only girl I ever gave flowers too was a stranger that walked past be one sat night, I am pants..

4) What is your best feature? And what is your worst?
My best feature would by my brain/intelligence and I really should make more use of it, its a waste atm. Begging letters of Mensa, and what do i use my mind for? nothing apart from the odd game of sudoku!

Worst feature would by shyness, and lack of confidence…

If you meant physical feature wise, err best=young looks, worst=being overweight

5) If a film was made of your life. Who would you cast to play you? And Why?
Easy!!

Alan Rickman for he is a God! and a good actor who could bring the right amount of comedy to the part, yet still pull it off with style.
