This evening was the Bishop Wilkins College Installation meeting. It was planned that we would also do a Grade III and Grade II.
But, as they say “the best laid plans of mice and men……“
The morning of the meeting, I received an email from our Grade II saying due to last minute work schedule changes he could not make it, On the drive to the meeting, I had a call from the Celebrant saying he was stuck in really bad traffic and may be late, but should get there. To continue the run of luck, when I arrived at Cheshire view I was greeted with just 4 people there since everyone was stuck in really bad traffic. Of the people there we had neither of the Candidates, or the Celebrant, so the people we really needed.
Luckily just before we were due to start, almost everyone turned up in time, and we had a very enjoyable meeting. We were able to do the Grade III, and re-install the Celebrant into the chair of the College.
Due to missing a ceremony, we finished earlier than expected. This let us sit in the bar and have a group conversation before going for an enjoyable Christmas Dinner.
The cure of the Year of a Busy Mason struck again. This evening I missed the rehearsals of Wrexhamian Chapter. Luckily I was only doing a bit of one of the lectures so was not really needed. Unluckily our candidate for the Grade III is Wrexhamian’s Principle Sojourner so his missing the rehearsals was more of an issue.
