Today is Blood Bikes Awareness Day, a moment to shine a light on the extraordinary volunteers across the UK (and around the world) who give their time, their skill, and their heart to support the NHS.
These riders, controllers, fundraisers, and coordinators step forward day after day, night after night, carrying hope in their panniers and compassion in their engines. Their service is freely given, powered not by fuel alone but by compassion, duty, and the simple belief that helping others matters. They ask for nothing, yet they give everything.
So today of all days, please consider making a donation to your local Blood Bikes group. And if you happen to drive past one of our riders as they go about their work, give them a wave.
We never do it for the thanks… but that wave is a small magic all of its own.
