This evening was my last rehearsals of the year.
For those who have been wondering about my counting down to the end of the year while it is only June, I should probably let you know that the Masonic year is Sep-June (or Sep-May for a lot of people).
Tonight was the rehearsals for Valle Crucis Rose Croix Chapter.
The original plan was to use the new ritual, so we could share out the work, but unfortunately we had no volunteers to do work, and the Sovereign had not remembered and learned the old ritual. So we decided to go old skool one last time.
The rehearsals were a bit odd because the Marshal was down but could only stay for a short while, so to help him out we did his stuff first which started in the middle. We then went back to the beginning afterwards. I think we managed to cover everything, or at least most of everything. It does help that it looks like we have past-Sovereigns doing the majority of the work.
TLDR; We are all sorted for Fridays last Rose Croix meeting of the year!

The Ancient and Accepted Rite (Rose Croix)
The Ancient and Accepted Rite originated in France in 1754 and worked in the USA where a Supreme Council was formed in 1801.
The Supreme Council for England and Wales was established in 1845 under a patent from the Supreme Council of the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction of the United States of America. The Rite consists of its own 33 Degrees entirely separate and distinct from any other Order.
The three Craft Degrees are accepted as equivalent to the first 3 Degrees of this Rite. Candidates for Perfection are taken from the 4º to 17º Degrees by name only, prior to being made Excellent and Perfect Princes Rose Croix in a detailed and beautiful 18º Degree ceremony. This is the only degree permitted to be worked in a private Rose Croix Chapter. Degrees above the 18º are awarded on merit after a brother has passed the Chair of his Chapter.
