This Evening I visited Rhuthyn Chapter Rose Croix, in Ruthin.
On Saturday while out giving a Blood Bikes Talk, my Chapter Recorder forwarded an email from the District Recorder asking for people to attend the upcoming meeting of Rhuthyn Chapter, to support the Inspector General who was taking the chair due to the Most Wise Sovereign being ill.
Nev, and Hugh, and myself talked about it over a pint or two after the Talk, and decided the decent thing to do was to pop along and offer our support. Therefore, this evening we went along to Ruthin to visit them. It was interesting to see the cloisters setup for a Rose Croix meeting. I have only ever been there for meetings of Old Ruthanian Lodge.
It is always nice to visit new places, and since this evening they were a short on members, I stood in as Raphael for them. Which meant I put on a ninja mask and waved Sai’s about, while eating pizza and shouting Cowabunga!. Or maybe I just sat in a chair, since there was no ceremony and Raphael had nothing to do.
This evening they were not having a festive board, so we just ended the evening popping into a pub for a couple of pints while discussing the evening. We decided the Chapter seemed a nice one, full of fun people so we will be visiting more often.
As a side note, it is another Chapter visited. After the fantastic Donation from the District of North Wales Rose Croix we are trying to visit every chapter in North Wales.

The Ancient and Accepted Rite (Rose Croix)
The Ancient and Accepted Rite originated in France in 1754 and worked in the USA where a Supreme Council was formed in 1801.
The Supreme Council for England and Wales was established in 1845 under a patent from the Supreme Council of the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction of the United States of America. The Rite consists of its own 33 Degrees entirely separate and distinct from any other Order.
The three Craft Degrees are accepted as equivalent to the first 3 Degrees of this Rite. Candidates for Perfection are taken from the 4º to 17º Degrees by name only, prior to being made Excellent and Perfect Princes Rose Croix in a detailed and beautiful 18º Degree ceremony. This is the only degree permitted to be worked in a private Rose Croix Chapter. Degrees above the 18º are awarded on merit after a brother has passed the Chair of his Chapter.
